    We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator in Springfield, MO to set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools used to produce precision components and assemblies.

    This role supports the construction, assembly, and rebuilding of mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, and related systems used in manufacturing, transportation, and wastewater treatment industries.

    The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and committed to quality and continuous improvement.

    CNC Machine Operator Responsibilities:

    • Set up, adjust and operate machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders and other specialized equipment
    • Machine parts to specification using blueprints, engineering documents and standard work instructions
    • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using shop math and precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers)
    • Inspect completed parts to ensure quality, accuracy and conformance to specifications
    • Create, update and follow standard work documents to ensure consistent and repeatable processes
    • Participate in rootcause problem solving (5Why process) and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, materials and cutting equipment for each job
    • Align, position and secure workpieces and components for machining and assembly
    • Assemble units of varying sizes and models by interpreting Bills of Material and engineering documentation
    • Rework, repair or replace damaged or nonconforming parts as needed
    • Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency and performance
    • Perform routine cleaning, lubrication and basic maintenance of machines and tools
    • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and supervisory teams to resolve technical issues
    • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment

    Requirements for CNC Machine Operator:

    • 12 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
    • 12 years of assembly and/or CNC machining experience preferred
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machines, tools, and maintenance
    • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and manufacturing standards
    • Proficiency in basic shop mathematics, including arithmetic and algebra
    • Experience monitoring machine operation and adjusting controls as needed
    • Ability to perform quality inspections and identify defects
    • Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
    • Experience performing routine equipment maintenance
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T
    • Ability to calculate and apply offsets using basic math
    • Familiarity with computerized machine controls
    • Processdriven and detailoriented approach to work
    • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
    • Knowledge of inventory and material handling processes
    • Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certification
