Production Operator Positions available in our coating, slitting, and chemcial operations departments starting at $21 to $24 per hourThese positions also offer the potential for two additional wage increases within the first 6 months of employment.
Web Handler Positions in our slitting and coating departments:
Job Summary:
Associates engaged in coating operations who performs the following essential job functions:
A Web Handler I position is typically defined as having been trained on 1 or more equipment areas within the department.
Essential Functions:
- Performs a variety of production tasks, which include but are not limited to – setting up equipment, adjusting and operating equipment, observing for proper functioning of equipment, inspecting and testing products, etc.
- Accurately performs work assignments and computer transactions that are required to adjust inventory; accurately performs calculations using various units of measure.
- Demonstrates ability to perform any of the various operations within the department.
- Performs visual inspection of all materials used and produced.
- Performs periodic preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Maintains work flow and ensures use of proper materials and tools.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment; notifying lead operator and/or supervisor of unsafe practices, conditions, or acts.
- Achieves quality and throughput goals.
- Performs work according to SPAR's, WI's, and verbal instructions; seeks lead operator and/or supervisor assistance in resolving problems which are not covered by procedures.
- Effectively communicates with other associates, lead operators, supervisors while maintaining the self-confidence and self-esteem of others; relays information to the next shift; voluntarily assists other associates, and communicates effectively to prevent problems from occurring.
- Completes required verifications and paperwork/documentation, accurately and neatly.
- Participates in training and assists with training, where applicable.
- Collaborates and contributes to the development of new products, processes, and equipment.
- Participates in problem-solving and takes initiative to make changes through change control procedures.
- Responsible for following all relevant regulations (e.g. ISO, FDA, OSHA, EPA, DEP, etc.) and company procedures.
- Responsible for following all applicable waste handling procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Job Specifications:
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent, and previous production experience is highly desirable (preferably in web handling, such as paper or fabric manufacturing, printing, coating, etc.).
- Uses procedures and skills, which require considerable training, to carrying out assignments.
- Operators work per instructions (verbal and written) and consults with lead operator and/or supervisor as needed on matters not specifically covered by instructions; work is cross-checked to review for accuracy, adequacy, and adherence to instructions.
- Conforms to Company policies and procedures, Quality Systems, etc.
- Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, and irritant chemicals; may be required to use personal protective equipment such as masks, uniforms, hairnets, gloves, safety glasses/goggles, shields, etc.
- Physical exertion such as long periods of standing, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities should be expected; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items (objects pounds with lift assist); requires common physical characteristics and abilities, such as above-average agility and dexterity.
- The work involves the execution of procedures which make up a finished product of a broader scope; the component product affects the accuracy, reliability, or acceptability of further processing.

Chemical Operator positions in our chemical operations/mixing department:
Job Summary:
Associates engaged in mixing or polymerization operations who perform the following essential job functions. A Chemical Operator I is an entry level position typically defined as having been trained in only 1 manufacturing area within the department (i.e. Polymerization, Medical Mixing, Industrial Mixing, Q Mixing).
Essential Functions:
- Follows all safety regulations to include: grounding, bonding, nitrogen inerting, use of PPE, and appropriate use of exhaust vents.
- Wears appropriate clothing to include: ESD shoes, long pants, and long sleeves
- Performs a variety of production tasks which include, but are not limited to: setting up equipment, adjusting and operating equipment, observing for proper functioning of equipment, and inspecting/testing of products.
- Adds ingredients which require specific measurements, addition, and mixing techniques as required by procedures and batch records.
- Performs visual inspection of all materials used and produced
- Operates a variety of support equipment such as mixers, balances, pumps, mixers, mills, granulators, timers, and controllers
- Accurately performs work assignments and computer transactions that are required to adjust inventory.
- Accurately performs calculations using various units of measure.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment following departmental 6S requirements, notifying lead operator and/or supervisor of unsafe practices, conditions, or acts.
- Achieve quality and throughput goals.
- Performs work according to SPAR's, WI's, and verbal instructions. Seeks lead operator and/or supervisor assistance in resolving problems not covered by procedures.
- Effectively communicates with other associates, lead operators and supervisors while maintaining the self-confidence and self-esteem of others; relays information to the next shift; voluntarily assists other associates, and communicates effectively to prevent problems from occurring.
