Job Title: Network Engineer

About Us:

We are the WDTC Data Sciences Division (DSD), dedicated to providing top-notch Information System (IS) and Information Technology (IT) services to WDTC Divisions and the Department of Defense (DOD) customers.

Within the DSD, the Systems Architecture Branch houses various teams such as Cybersecurity, System Administration, Network Administration, Operational Support, and Software Development.

Our contractor IT staff are essential members of the DOD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF).

In this role, you will work on providing IS Services, configuring IT systems in alignment with Department of Defense (DOD) Secure Recommendation Guides (SRGs) and Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). You will also ensure operations comply with DOD, US Army, and WDTC Security Policies and Plans.

Essential Requirements:

Current/Valid Driver's License
IAT-II Certification
One baseline certification: GSEC, Security+ Ce, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISSP (or Associate), CISA, GCIH, GCED, or CASP CE

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Overseeing network administration and network management operations for DPG
Logging all requests for assistance and deficiencies, and tracking solutions
Completing monthly trouble tickets within specified timelines
Monitoring system traffic, data flows, and planning system capacity
Providing monitoring, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of network devices
Ensuring systems are protected from unauthorized activity and making improvement recommendations
Managing implementation and project installations, ensuring configuration conformity
Troubleshooting network problems and maintaining network equipment
Administering intrusion detection devices and supporting VPN users
Operating and maintaining network boundary devices
Performing system audits, maintaining records, and managing network documentation
Implementing controls to prevent unauthorized activity and maintaining system security
