    Join the dynamic MMSI team as a Diesel Mechanic responsible for performing maintenance and repair for the Southeast Region Port Operations for the Navy.

    This is a Full Time located at Mayport/NAS JAX, Florida.

    Perform routine preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance to the following Marine Diesel Engines, 455HP Cummins QSM11 CM570, 285 HP Cummins QSL9 Also 130 HP 4 Cylinder Volvo Penta and 20 HP Isuzu.


    • Assists when needed, with the preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance of various types of outboard gasoline engines to include Yamaha, Honda and Mercury.
    • Tests engine, transmission, rigging, propeller, navigational, and related systems to diagnose malfunctions, using various measuring instruments.
    • Examine repair or installation orders, drawings, and vessel, utilizing knowledge based on experience to determine extent of repairs required or modifications necessary for installation of equipment, accessories, and hardware.
    • Install and test steering gear, sanitation and refrigeration systems, electrical systems and accessories, electronic components and accessories, hardware, trim and related components following manufacturer's instructions and drawings.
    • Performs maintenance and repair on hydraulic pumps, valves, and regulators.
