    Our HR Generalist will be working out of HQ office in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

    Job Overview:

    We are currently seeking an experienced HR Generalist with expertise in managing employee relations within a unionized environment. As an integral member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support and guidance to both employees and management, with a focus on maintaining positive labor relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements, grievance handling procedures, and labor laws, along with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflicts, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and company policies.

    Union Negotiations: Participate in collective bargaining negotiations, contract interpretation, and administration, collaborating with union representatives to resolve disputes and address employee concerns.

    Grievance Management: Investigate and respond to employee grievances in a timely and thorough manner, maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout the grievance process.

    Labor Compliance: Stay current on labor laws, regulations, and industry trends related to unionized workplaces, ensuring HR policies and practices are in alignment with legal requirements and best practices.

    Contract Administration: Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements, communicating contract provisions to management and employees, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

    Conflict Resolution: Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation sessions between employees, supervisors, and union representatives to promote positive labor relations and maintain a productive work environment.

    Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs for management and employees on labor relations topics, such as union awareness, contract interpretation, and conflict resolution.

    HR Administration: Assist with HR administrative tasks, including employee records management, benefits administration, payroll coordination, onboarding, and compliance reporting.

    Employee Engagement: Collaborate with management to develop strategies for enhancing employee engagement and morale within the unionized workforce, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and inclusivity.

    Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in HR practices related to labor relations, recommending and implementing solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness.

    Other Duties as Assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, or related field.
    • 3+ years of HR experience in a unionized environment, with a focus on employee relations and labor management.
    • Strong knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and grievance handling procedures.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a high level of productivity.
