South Central Power Company is offering a paid internship with our Member Service Department at our Lancaster, Ohio facility.

As a not-for-profit electric cooperative, we are owned by our members and strive to provide best-in-class member service. Like for-profit businesses that provide customer service and support, this position will prepare college students for entry into an electric cooperative business setting by providing unique opportunities to learn more about various roles in member service. Responsibilities will include assisting leaders in communications, community relations, energy services, and key accounts on special projects that involve improvements in business processes, data analysis, customer management, product and service evaluations, and supporting community relations for event planning.

The intern will have the opportunity to job shadow a variety of tasks and procedures in which they will learn valuable information. Candidates must be self-motivated with communication skills and have a desire to further develop their knowledge of this field. Experience utilizing a computer and attention to detail is a must.

Students majoring in the public relations, communications, business administration or related field are encouraged to apply. This internship is expected to last a period of three to six months. A schedule will be determined based on the qualified candidate's needs.
