    The Allegheny Health Network (AHN), Cancer Institute is seeking a highly motivated academic leader as Physician Chair for the Department of Radiation Oncology.

    This individual will work closely with the System Chair of the Cancer Institute to build upon current academic and clinical programs for advancing its national reputation and will promote programmatic and operational growth opportunities while balancing the financial aspects of the evolving healthcare demands.

    This recruitment represents a unique opportunity to be part of an integrated healthcare delivery system that promotes value-based cancer care transformation.


    The AHN Cancer Institute includes a network of more than 22 cancer centers, over 1,000 employees, and 90 oncologists and researchers.

    Nationally recognized programs include liver radiotherapy, peritoneal surgery, CAR-T cell therapy and breast reconstructive surgery.

    Research infrastructure includes a genomics lab, proteomics lab, cell and viral therapy clean rooms, a cell imaging core, a biobanking program and more, resulting in a deeper clinical engagement in research aimed at bridging the bench-to-bedside gap.

    • Full complement of radiation oncologists with multidisciplinary approach to cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment

    Job Qualifications


    • PhD/MD Graduate of accredited medical school with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
    • Completion of accredited residency and fellowship if required by specialty
    • Board certified in Radiation Oncology with 8 years of experience
    • Current PA MD licensure in good standing; current unrestricted DEA certificate
    • Financial and operational management experience in a progressive radiation oncology department
