- Analyzes severity and prioritizes equipment issues to minimize plant down time as well as maximize plant productivity
- Inspects repairs for structural soundness and possible methods to improve operations and cost effectiveness
- Conduct plant walk-arounds to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance, modification and surveillance activities, and to provide input for refining and improving work package quality
- Schedules equipment facility shutdown with production department
- Monitor and participate in control of maintenance budget
- Leads in developing and implementing improvement action plans to ensure year over year improvement in critical plant metrics
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering strongly preferred
- Minimum of five to eight years in a maintenance-related experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry or equivalent combination of education and supervisory experience
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products with strong emphasis in Excel. Experience with Oracle preferred.
- Requires movement around plant environment, including climbing of stairs to equipment and plant offices, and lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Occasionally requires reaching with hands and arms, stooping and kneeling. Requires frequent keyboarding and sitting at computer terminal. Reasonable accommodations may be made to allow individuals with disabilities to perform tasks.

Overview:
REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.
Responsibilities:We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of the maintenance department at the Real Alloy plant in Loudon, TN. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, able to manage a maintenance team of 10-12 employees, and oversee projects and preventative maintenance program. The Maintenance Manager will oversee and direct employees in a safe, quality minded and productive manner to attain production priorities as scheduled.
