    Role Description

    This is a full-time, on-site role for a Residential Construction Superintendent located in the Big Sky / Bozeman area. The Superintendent will serve as the primary field leader, overseeing daily operations to ensure projects are completed to MOD's standards of quality and safety. This position requires a constant on-site presence to manage subcontractors, coordinate schedules, and provide real-time reporting to the Project Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Site Leadership: Manage and control all on-site subcontractors, ensuring work adheres to project specifications and safety protocols.
    • Real-Time Reporting: Provide daily written and photographic updates via mobile/digital platforms, documenting crew attendance, work performed, and progress milestones.
    • Quality Control: Conduct ongoing walkthroughs to verify trade workmanship, with a specific focus on carpentry and general construction methods.
    • Logistics & Communication: Receive and verify material deliveries against the scope of work; maintain seamless communication between the field and project management.
    • Schedule Accountability: Proactively identify potential delays or site issues, resolving them immediately or escalating to the PM to protect the project timeline.

    Qualifications

    • Proven Expertise: 5+ years of experience in construction site management, specifically in new residential construction or full-scale luxury rehabs.
    • Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, RFIs, and complex scopes of work.
    • Leadership & Accountability: A track record of field management with the ability to follow directions exactly and hold trades accountable for results.
    • Communication: Fluent in English (written and spoken) with the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors and team members.
    • Local Requirements: Must have dependable transportation and the ability to work on-site in Big Sky every day of construction activities.

    Job Details

    • Pay: $75, $105,000.00 per year
    • Position Type: Full-time, 1099 (Independent Subcontractor)
    • Benefits: Paid Time Off
    • Location: In-person (Big Sky / Bozeman, MT)
