    Collaborate with DBAs, developers, analysts, and architects to understand business needs and translate them into modifications to existing web applications using the legacy Oracle PL/SQL Gateway.

    Responsibilities:

    Development:

    Migrate existing PL/SQL programs to newer versions of the Oracle Databases using the Oracle Rest Data Services (ORDS).


    Implement data validation, transformation, and security measures within the applications modified or migrated to ensure data integrity and access control.

    Integrate with external systems using industry-standard protocols like SOAP, REST, and JSON.

    Optimize PL/SQL code for performance and scalability.

    Develop necessary modifications to existing logical and physical data models and coordinate with DBAs for their implementation.

    Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PL/SQL code adhering to best practices.


    Testing and Maintenance:
    Develop and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests for application functionality.

    Monitor application performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

    Maintain and enhance existing PL/SQL code interfacing with legacy financial applications to reconnect to Oracle Financials Cloud.


    Collaboration:


    Work closely with other PL/SQL and Coldfusion developers, analysts, and architects to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

    Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers.

    Document code and development processes for future reference.

    Utilize version control procedures and git repositories.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of 3 years of experience developing with PL/SQL.

    Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and SQL.

    Experience with web development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (a plus).

    Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web service concepts.

    Experience with API security best practices (e.g., OAuth, JWT).

    Experience with version control systems like Git.

    Education: Bachelors Degree
