- Processes, records, maintains and serves civil and criminal documents as needed.
- Patrols precinct as a deterrent to crime.
- Assists public within scope of authority.
- Maintains good investigative skills to work with gang and drug related crimes and to locate wanted person.
- Secures and preserves crime scenes.
- May work with traffic enforcement/traffic investigation.
- Composes and types memos and correspondence; prepares and distributes invoices.
- Tracks, balances, monitors and reconciles budget items.
- Responds to telephone inquiries and/or directs to proper person.
- Organizes and maintains filing system for state records.
- Assists other employees with their duties; trains office staff as needed.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- One year job related experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills; ability to complete assigned tasks in timely manner.
- Verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with the public.
- Valid Texas Driver License.
- Basic TCOLE certification.
