Job Posting: Machine operator

Company Overview: Hiring for a leading food processing company known for its commitment to quality and innovation. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Machine Operator to join our dynamic team.

Position Summary: As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our production line and ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time. This role plays a critical part in maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards within our food processing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare the assigned machine and production line for efficient order completion.
• Assign tasks to production line employees and provide clear instructions and procedures.
• Verify raw materials and process them into the machine to maximize quality and productivity.
• Complete paperwork for QA and production and perform associated administrative tasks.
• Motivate and support the production team, providing guidance and assistance when necessary.
• Ensure smooth operation of all production machinery and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving them.
• Inspect products to ensure conformance to specifications and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations.
• Monitor the production floor for safety hazards and report any issues to the Production Supervisor and/or HR.
• Respond to radio requests, answer questions, and solve problems promptly. Proactively identify problems and offer possible solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Fill various roles on the production floor as required, including Operator, Wrangler, Stager, Packager, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3 to 5 years of experience with Meat Processing.
• USDA Trained.
• Advanced knowledge of GMP's; HACCP Certified.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English.

Physical Demands:

• Operator I is required to spend 100% of time on the floor at assigned line(s).
• Regularly required to stand, move, operate equipment, talk, hear, use repetitive motion, and reach overhead.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, balance, stoop, climb, kneel, and bend.

Work Environment:

• Production environment is refrigerated with temperatures ranging between 30 to 50 degrees.
• Noise level is moderate to loud.
