- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses independently or as part of a healthcare team.
- Contribute to formulating patient Master Treatment Plans.
- Assess the physical and psychiatric health of patients and develop measures to meet their needs.
- Document clinical observations, evaluations, and treatments of patients in a timely manner following facility guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians and other staff to ensure quality patient care within appropriate protocols.
- Promote family involvement in patient care and address patient and family educational needs.
- Comply with legal requirements, hospital policies, medical staff bylaws, and regulatory standards.
- Deliver services in line with state guidelines for Nurse Practitioners.
- Handle on-call duties as scheduled by medical staff.
- May emphasize health promotion and disease prevention, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe medication.
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor towards customers, address unmet patient needs, and prioritize patient safety.
- Master's in Nursing from a Nurse Practitioner program.
- Clinical experience with the patient population of the facility and knowledge of treatment concepts.
- Preferred minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner.
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.
- Licensed to practice in the state where the facility is located.
- DEA license.
