- Perform daily quality assurance testing on all equipment used in the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments.
- Decontamination: Scan instruments for use in or requested for procedures, upon arrival in decontamination to issue to serviced hospital department. e.g., surgery, clinics or wards.
- Assembly and Inspection: Account for and process surgical instruments to include complex loaner sets for scheduled and emergent cases.
- Sterilization: Select the appropriate sterilization method based upon manufacture requirements and recommendations.
- Sterile Storage/Issue: Ensure appropriate climate control measures are maintained.
