Position: Senior Software Solutions Architect

Duration: 36 Months

Location: Sacramento, California (Onsite from Day 1)

• Collaborates with the Senior Business Analyst to ensure the solution encompasses all functional design components.
• Maintains a solution-wide perspective and ensures seamless integration among individual components/modules to meet functional requirements.
• Provides the methodology/approach for building the ERP solution.
• Designs and manages the implementation of the ERP solution.
• Works with an implementation team to ensure modules inter-operate.
• Engages with SMEs of business units to understand solution and process requirements, articulating them to Contractor Project team leads.
• Ensures the proposed solution aligns with the business requirements of the organization.
• Utilizes state-of-the-art technologies whenever possible.
• Acts as the foremost authority on all technical software components.
• Integrates complex technical concepts and User Stories into actionable development plans.
• Applies higher-level business or technical principles to solve difficult technical problems.
• Participates in the development of the abstraction layer.
• Collaborates with technical staff to design and build interfaces between multiple entities.
• Directs and participates in all phases of application development.
• Reviews solutions for conformity with industry best practices related to security, accessibility, and performance.
• Prepares technical documentation.
• Responsible for providing guidance for cloud architecture and infrastructure.
• Participates in data conversion activities.
• Assumes responsibility for all technical aspects of the solution, establishing documentation and coding standards for the Project team

Staff Mandatory Qualifications:

• The Senior Software Solutions Architect shall have at least five (5) years of FTE experience within the last ten (10) years of architecting and designing enterprise technology software solutions with a minimum value of $3M and at least 5,000 internal and external users (including the general public) within the public sector.
• The Senior Software Solutions Architect shall have at least three (3) years of FTE experience within the last seven (7) years with the proposed technology to be implemented in the ERP Project.
• The Senior Software Solutions Architect shall have at least two (2) years of FTE experience within the last five (5) years that includes GIS components.

Staff Desirable Qualifications:

• The Senior Software Solutions Architect will possess and maintain Enterprise Architecture Certification in one or more industry leading architecture framework(s).
• The Senior Software Solutions Architect has at least two (2) additional years of FTE experience within the last ten (10) years of architecting and designing enterprise technology software solutions.
• The Senior Software Solutions Architect has at least two (2) additional years of FTE experience within the last seven (7) years with the proposed technology to be implemented in the ERP Project.
