As a Security Officer - Flex Perimeter Rover in Edwardsville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders within a logistics and distribution location.
Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns for reporting.
Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian access, verify required credentials and/or paperwork, and direct traffic flow as needed to support orderly site operations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance, documenting facts, and completing required notifications.
Perform routine security-related checks such as observing cargo staging areas, doors, gates, and trailer areas, and complete accurate activity logs and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
