    Description

    HTI is seeking a Controls Engineer for a UK based start-up in the fast emerging soil carbon space in Upstate SC. Based in Scotland, this organization develops innovative technology-based services that measure soil carbon with a high level of accuracy.

    What You Need:

    • BS in Electrical Engineer or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Extensive experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and drives
    • 10+ years experience carrying out Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls systems hands on work.

    What Your Role Will Look Like:

    The Lead Engineer will oversee all engineering activity on site. This person will be responsible for managing engineering, managing maintenance technicians, and initially will be involved with the site setup and machine installation.

    • Design/programming of control systems for automated equipment, including work with PLC's, Nidec and ABB speed drives, Epson T6 Robot arms, SMC Linear Axis, and Pilz safety relays.
    • Interfacing with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly.
    • Commissioning of machine to meet customer quality and cycle time requirements including testing and onsite startup.
    • Evaluating existing process equipment programming, controls, and electronics. Implementing changes and upgrades related to continued process improvement efforts.
    • Ensuring that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
    • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
