Loan Administration Specialist Job Posting

Posting Date: February 17, 2026

Join our Team as a Loan Administration Specialist

Location: Greensboro, NC

Company: Summit Credit Union

If you are someone who thrives on details, enjoys solving problems, and wants your work to directly impact people's financial lives, this role is for you.

We are seeking a Loan Administration Specialist to support our Lending and Collections teams. This position plays a critical role in ensuring loans are properly documented, titles and liens are secured, insurance claims are processed accurately, and members receive timely support when they need it most.

This is not just a back-office position. It is a high-impact role that connects lending operations, vehicle titles, insurance claims, and member service. If you are interested in lending administration, loan processing, titles and liens, credit life insurance, GAP claims, or loan servicing, keep reading.

What You Will Do

You will serve as a key operational partner across departments, helping protect both the credit union and our members.

Loan & Title Administration

  • Verify and perfect liens on vehicle loans within required timeframes
  • Review DMV documentation to ensure accuracy
  • Document and file received titles
  • Release titles promptly when loans are paid in full

Insurance & Claims Processing

  • File and follow up on credit life insurance, credit disability, GAP, and warranty refund claims
  • Manage total loss claims and coordinate with members and vendors
  • Order real estate appraisals and notify loan officers

Collections & Compliance Support

  • Handle incoming and outgoing tax levies
  • Escalate complex or sensitive issues to management quickly

Member & Internal Support

  • Respond to member and staff questions related to titles, insurance claims, and loan servicing
  • Maintain high quality standards on incoming calls
  • Stay current on policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

________________________________________

What Makes You a Strong Fit

You are detail-driven, calm under pressure, and comfortable handling sensitive financial matters with professionalism and discretion.

You likely bring:

  • 1–3 years of experience in loan servicing, lending support, titles, insurance processing, or credit administration
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle titles and liens
  • Experience with credit life, disability, or GAP claims
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Sound judgment and ethical decision-making
  • Comfort using database systems, Microsoft Word, and web-based tools

An associate degree or equivalent experience is preferred. A valid driver license is required.

________________________________________

Why This Role Matters

When a member experiences a disability, a death in the family, a vehicle accident, or financial hardship, the Loan Administration Specialist steps in. Your work ensures claims are processed correctly, titles are handled properly, and members are treated with respect and urgency.

You will collaborate with lending officers, collections staff, insurance vendors, and members to resolve issues the right way. No shortcuts. No passing the problem along. Just thoughtful, responsible follow-through.

Our Culture

We value difference-makers. People who collaborate instead of compete. People who look for better ways to do things. People who care about the communities they serve.

We are forward-thinking, inclusive, and grounded in doing what is right. If you want to work somewhere that encourages ideas, supports growth, and believes financial services can truly improve lives, you will feel at home here.
