- Processes all outgoing mail and operates postage machine
- Collects and distributes incoming and interoffice mail and packages/boxes.
- Fills supply requisitions and assists with the physical inventory of all expendable supplies.
- Moves boxes and runs errands as needed.
- Delivers misc. items as needed (mail tubs to trust, large boxes, supplies, etc.)
- Delivers exception mail items to the City of Hampton Treasurer's Office.
- Assist Maintenance Support when needed.
- Assists in moving furniture and equipment as needed.
- Assists in maintaining document retention boxes, and verifies boxes are correctly destroyed.
- Prepares bi-weekly janitorial supply count for the campus.
- Maintains all supplies for HQ's 4th Floor Cage. Replenishes all floors as needed bi-weekly.
- Performs all work in compliance with applicable regulations/policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to operate mail processing machine and all other standard mail processing equipment
- Ability to read and perform basic mathematical functions
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to maintain schedules and meet deadlines
- Ability to transport up to 50+ pounds
- Good interpersonal skills
- Must possess a valid Virginia Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
- High School graduate or GED
