Job summary

Under general supervision and following established procedures the incumbent operates ultrasound imaging equipment to acquire images and communicates sonographer impressions to interpreting physicians.


Responsibilities

  • Ensures that two points of patient identification date of birth & full name are obtained to verify that the correct patient is being treated.
  • Reviews the order for exam and indications and the patient's chart for pertinent clinical history.
