MSTS offers our full time employees highly competitive salaries and benefits packages including medical dental vision a pension a 401k paid time off relocation tuition assistance and more The Radiological Control Department is looking for a highly performing individual with attention to detail to perform RCT duties as a Senior Technologist Key Responsibilities include mentoring junior staff in selected areas of specialty assisting in researching compiling analyzing measurement data participating in developing field operations reports designs approaches proposals implementing computer applications used in S/E work drafting revising reviewing technical procedures documentation executing work independently under general supervision demonstrating compliance with MSTS policies procedures laws codes orders directly applicable task execution identifying areas needing improvement approaching solutions serving as lead technical support person on teams well defined scopes work ensuring generation records radiation surveys job activities utilize appropriate forms logbooks required maintaining training qualifications current attending onsite offsite training necessary maintain competency radiological control related work assigned supervisor research records potential radiological sites determine whether sites are radiologically impacted ensure corrective actions taken mitigate hazards properly implemented effective eliminating unsafe conditions provides directions less experienced technicians monitors work technicians support personnel Qualifications include associate degree related field position plus at least five years progressive experience or high school diploma plus seven years progressive experience Current knowledge industry regulatory standards criteria pertinent radiological control required Ability work independently team environment wide variety tasks critical Working knowledge Microsoft Word Excel Adobe Acrobat Outlook required Must fitted qualify use various respiratory protection personal protective equipment participate National Response Asset Deployment activities May be required participate Human Reliability Program HRP Must qualify within month start date DOE Radiological Control Technician RCT standardized core training programs self motivated able complete tasks minimal supervision possess strong verbal written communication skills ability work well individual team environment may requested perform call back non standard hours when required Basic knowledge radiation protection principles required primary location Nevada National Security Site located miles northwest Las Vegas NV Work schedule Monday Thursday subject change overtime may be required pre placement physical examination includes drug screen background review checks personal references credit law enforcement records employment education verifications applicants offered employment subject federal background investigation meet requirements access classified information matter duties require DOE security clearance substance abuse illegal drug use falsification information criminal activity serious misconduct indicators untrustworthiness cause clearance denied terminated resulting inability perform duties subsequent termination employment addition applicants must obtain maintain DOE Q level security clearance requires U.S citizenship least eighteen years age reference DOE Order Personnel Security hold citizenship i.e. U.S country ability obtain security clearance impacted Department Energy Q Clearance position cleared level Reviews tests absence illegal drug defined CFR Part Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at Sites conducted Applicants selected subject federal background investigation reinvestigations eligibility requirements access classified matter successful completion counterintelligence evaluation which may include counterintelligence scope polygraph examination also reference CFR Part Counterintelligence Evaluation Program MSTS Equal Opportunity Employer qualified applicants receive consideration employment regard race color religion sex orientation national origin disability veteran status other characteristics protected law MSTS background screening drug free workplace Hourly salary range position dollars Starting salary determined based market value candidate education internal equity
