    Description

    Objective:
    To install, maintain, upgrade, rebuild, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, building and facility systems and equipment.

    Electricians differ from other skilled jobs in that the electrical work that is performed on, or from, the main distribution and building wiring up to the machine control panels.



    Responsibilities:


    • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC Systems, hot water boilers, cooling towers, fire sprinkler systems, Distribution equipment, R&D equipment including mold changes for compression and injection mold equipment.
    • Perform a variety of duties to maintain the buildings, roofs and windows etc., including but not limited to carpentry, painting, equipment cleaning, sign making, grounds care, moving equipment and boxes.
    • Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment, switchboards, wiring, hydraulic lines, water lines, vacuum lines, steam lines, plumbing lines.
    • Maintain and operate electric and diesel fire pumps, air compressors, emergency generators, and associated transfer switches.
    Additional

    Responsibilities:

    Keep walkways clear of snow, ice, and debris. Includes spreading ice melt, shoveling, operating snow blower and tractor.

    Education:
    Vocational High School preferred, 1-2 years electronic technology training.

    Experience: 5 years facilities maintenance experience.

    Requirements:
    An Electrician's license is required. Required to have own trade related tools to perform required tasks.

    Special Credentials/Skills:
    Working knowledge on troubleshooting HVAC equipment and machine diagnostics. Formal electronic training on AC circuits and DC circuits. Verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills.
