- Working with sales reps and contacting customer to verify coating request and concerns.
- Specify part requirements in the traveler.
- Ensuring tool design is applicable to part.
- Robot program development for job at specific cell of FAI (metrology is a must have).
- Modifications when needed and machining of prototype as required.
- Document all adjustments when needed.
- Support Desing engineer.
- For current parts, complete non-conformance containment and corrective action items along with root cause analysis.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Technical certificate or bachelor degree in designing
- Entry level or 1-2 years of experience.
- Mechanical Engineer Degree Prefereable
- Substantial thermal spray coating experience and related equipment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and measurement tools
- Knowledge of process engineering principles
- 1 year ABB robot programming
- Knowledge of quality control and statistical process control
- Strong knowledge of tooling/ fixturing design and implementation
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify areas for improvement
- Experience working with ISO 9001 and NADCAP
- Experience working with multiple teams to develop new processes
- Knowledge of non-conformance containment and corrective action implantation
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with reporting using Excel (Vlookup, formulas, tables, etc.) or any other data collection system.
- Able to communicate with co-worker and management in a courteous and professional manner.
- Nice to have Robotic Programming and coating experience.

For our site in Old Bethpage, NY we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer.
Position Summary
In this role, the individual will be responsible for the design and build of tooling, whether internally or from external suppliers, to support new product introduction and daily production needs.

Work Environment
This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computes, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate. (No VISA sponsorship provided)
Travel
Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company.
