Neurosurgery Physician Assistant needed near Sacrament, CA.

We are recruiting for a full-time Physician Assistant to join our hospital-based Neurosurgical PA team. Located in the Northern California central valley, Medical Center, a 465-bed Level II Trauma Center operating as a level 1 Trauma Center, is one of the region s only designated Primary Stroke Centers.

Brain & Spine Institute offers advanced surgical and non surgical treatments such as minimally-invasive spine surgery, Deep Brain Stimulation, Spinal Cord Stimulator implants, and features dedicated Neuro Critical Care and Neuro step-down units. Most shifts are 24-hours; OR-only shifts are 8-hours. PA s are scheduled three 24-hour shifts + one 8-hour OR shift in a 2 week period. Responsibilities include first-assist duties in the OR, facilitating ER and inpatient consults, daily floor and ICU rounds, H&P s, and discharge summaries. Average patient census 15-20 not including consultations range 5-7. Experience with performing invasive procedures such as arterial lines, ventriculostomy, and ICP monitoring a plus. The Physician Assistants will do consultations, round and first assist for 3 Board Certified Neuro Surgeons. Financial package includes base salary up to 230k based on experience and 30k signing bonus. Full benefits and relocation package offered.

The hospital is in the center of Northern California, capturing care from Bakersfield- Fresno to the Sonora Foothills and leading from Sacramento into the Bay Area.
