Job summary
The Podiatrist treats a variety of foot and ankle ailments including calluses, ingrown toenails, heel spurs and arch problems as well as foot and leg problems associated with diabetes and other diseases.
The position also serves as coach/mentor/trainer to other clinicians giving guidance in best practices troubleshooting of medical services and operations related to Podiatry.
- Assess the condition of a patient's feet ankles or lower legs by reviewing his or her medical history listening to the patient's concerns and performing a physical examination as needed.
- Diagnose foot ankle and lower-leg problems through local examination x-rays medical laboratory tests and other methods.
