    The Hanshaw Pediatric Hospitalist service at UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center, the clinical affiliate of UMassChan Medical School in Worcester, MA, is pleased to announce an opening for TWO Pediatric Hospitalist positions, a 1.All patients are covered by our excellent Pediatric and Med/Peds residents, and UMassChan medical students are involved with most patients.

    The Pediatric Hospitalists at UMass also cover our sedation service, primary involving our oncology and surgical patients. There are ample research opportunities, as we are the only tertiary care medical center in Central Massachusetts.

    Opportunities for teaching and mentoring, both within GME and the medical school, which is attached to our hospital, are essentially limitless.

    BC/BE in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is strongly preferred.

    The Department of Pediatrics is a major department within UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center and UMass Chan Medical School with over 80 faculty members and 80 staff (e.g., nurse practitioners, physician assistants and support staff), a thriving pediatric residency program, and several subspecialty fellowship training programs.

    Located in Worcester, UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center is the only children's hospital in Central Massachusetts. The Children's Medical Center is a safety-net hospital for children in Central Massachusetts - over 60% of patients are covered by Medicaid and almost 40% of patients are of color (i.e., Children's Medical Center providers are committed to the mission, work to provide care that truly surrounds the family and that is infused with cultural humility and with a health equity lens for all.
