    Position Summary:

    Under the direct supervision of the director or deputy director, and the supervisory vendor liaisons, the vendor liaison will be responsible for: reviewing and evaluating WIC Vendor contracts and compliance with WIC Program regulations; responsible for maintaining computer databases and vendor enrollment file documentation; handle compliance Inspections of WIC vendors in the field; provide training to WIC Vendors on rules and regulations.

    Requirements & Qualifications:

    • High school diploma/ equivalency required; bachelor's degree preferred
    • Computer knowledge, especially word processing, Excel, PowerPoint and data entry.
    • Second language preferred.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Ability to communicate with diverse groups.
    • Field work experience preferred.
    • Valid Driver's License.
    • Salary:$52,000.00-$52,000.00.

    Job duties:

    • Prepare and maintain Vendor database including new and inactive vendor status entries.
    • Review and log the automated Vendor Application Timeline, using application-related documents and staff notes to record dates and notes.
    • Assist in maintaining a database of active and inactive vendors.
    • Review new vendor enrollment forms, prior to submission to Bureau of Investigative Service.
    • Review monitoring-related documents prepared by field staff for accuracy and completeness of monitoring reports, worksheets, and price stock surveys.
    • Prepare new vendor files, ensuring that files are complete and accurate and that documents are consistent with information recorded in the Vendor Application Timeline.
    • Assist in miscellaneous data entry or other projects related to the application enrollment process, monitoring, or training.
    • Monitor stores to evaluate the adequacy of WIC food stock and prices on a scheduled assignment.
    • Record and document monitoring results on approved monitoring forms and maintain up-to-date vendor files and NYWIC documentation and notes.
    • Assist in miscellaneous data entry or other projects related to the application enrollment process, monitoring or training.
    • Assist in the backlog of application-related activities and meeting with WIC vendor applicants to explain the application process and clarifying for vendors, when needed, whether vendor meets eligibility.
    • Provide mandated initial, routine and ad hoc training.
    • Maintains confidentiality of information per federal regulation.
    • Attends mandatory training, orientation, and pertinent meetings/conference calls.
    • Meets regularly with supervisor to assess progress on projects and set priorities.
    • Perform other related duties.
