    Job Summary:
    The flagship high-acuity facility for the Seton healthcare family, is seeking an elite-level


    CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist .

    This role is specifically for a "plug-and-play" professional capable of handling complex cardiothoracic and vascular emergencies independently during weekend night hours.

    ASMCA is a robust cardiac center with a high-volume program including transplants and mechanical circulatory support.

    Key Responsibilities


    Cardiac Scrub Excellence:
    Provide expert scrub support for high-stakes procedures including CABG, heart transplantation, valve replacements, and aortic dissection repairs.

    Mechanical Support:
    Assist in the placement of Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), Impella, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), and adult ECMO cannulation.

    Vascular & Endovascular:
    Assist in the endovascular OR for TAVR procedures, as well as peripheral vascular repairs and ESRD graft/fistula revisions.

    Thoracic Surgery:
    Scrub for open, laparoscopic, and robot-assisted thoracic cases.

    Independence:
    Manage the sterile field for concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) without requiring additional training or oversight.

    Experience:
    Minimum

    3 years

    of recent, full-time


    CVOR
    experience in a high-volume hospital.

    Certification:
    Must hold an active


    CST
    (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential.

    Skills:
    Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular service lines. Must be able to "hit the ground running."

    References:
    Must provide verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming

    no training was needed .

    Education:
    Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

    BLS
    (American Heart Association) required.
