    Responsibilities
    Kforce's client, a Publicly Traded Financial Services Company located in Parsippany, NJ is expanding and looking for a Project Staff Accountant. This company offers a hybrid work environment with new offices and great benefits.Summary:This person supports finance and accounting projects while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and a strong internal control environment. The Project Staff Accountant maintains general ledger balances, prepares periodic financial reports, and ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:
    • Project Staff Accountant will participate in finance and accounting-related projects
    • Maintain general ledger account balances and supporting documentation
    • Prepare accurate monthly financial reports and accounting summaries
    • Review accounting documents for accuracy and compliance with policies and accounting standards
    • Assess and document the impact of projects on internal controls
    • Assist with updating and implementing accounting reports and reconciliations resulting from projects
    • As a Project Staff Accountant, you will identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, procedures, and reporting efficiency
    • Stay current on available technologies and evaluate how they may enhance accounting and reporting processes
    • Apply appropriate accounting and reporting guidance to financial transactions related to assigned projects
    Skills
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
    • 1-3 years of financial or general accounting experience
    The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
    We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
    Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
