EHS Coordinator - Flower Mound, United States - MITER Brands

Start Time: 7pm Monday - Friday

Pay:
$21 - $24 and $2 Shift Differentia l

MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND ORIENTATION 8AM - 3PM FOR A WEEK** Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform on a weekly basis a minimum of two department safety walkthroughs with nightshift leadership and/or production team members.
Facilitate safety related training throughout the year.
Help maintain and update site safety documentation such as training records, JSA's, job descriptions, and SDS's
Assist facility VPP Teams in preparing facilities for VPP evaluation.
Provide safety coverage for onsite safety personnel when needed.
Helps to conduct accident/near miss investigations to establish corrective actions
Assist and facilitate safety related trainings throughout the year
Participate and report at various managers' meetings as needed.
Assist safety team with various inspections performed at each facility.
Monthly inspection of fire extinguishers, AED, suppression system valves and First Aid Room
Implement and facilitate Safety Committee and First Responder Meetings
Conducts facility EAP Drills.
Other duties as assigned

General Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

Manufacturing/Safety and Health experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position required.

Familiar with OSHA rules, regulations, and best practices.
Familiar with local, state and federal laws and regulations regarding environmental practices a plus.
Good presentation and analytical skills plus demonstrated skills to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously.
High level of customer focus both internally and external.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to interface with individuals with diverse backgrounds at varying levels of the organization.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) or (English/Chin)
First Aid/CPR/AED training preferred
Proficiency with various MS Office Programs including but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Visio.
