    Duties


    • Plan and execute an intelligence related information security program in accordance with security directives, regulations, guidance, policies and procedures.
    • Conduct security violation inquiries and investigations.
    • Issue courier letters and cards.
    • Advises on the classification, declassification, and protection of classified national defense and other sensitive information originated or controlled by USARC.
    • Plan and execute an intelligence related personnel security program in accordance with security directives, regulations, guidance, policies and procedures.
    • Interpret and provide technical advice to security managers and supervisors regarding the requirements for personnel security clearances and sensitive compartmented information (SCI) access.
    • Process and review security clearances to determine eligibility for interim clearance and access to sensitive information.
    • Maintain clearance and access rosters and update applicable security database(s).
    • Plan and execute an intelligence related industrial security program in accordance with security directives, regulations, guidance, policies and procedures.
    • Provides technical guidance on industrial security matters to contract and technical monitors throughout the command.
    • Review contract documentation to identify the level and kind of secure work to be performed in facilities
    Requirements Conditions of Employment


    • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
    • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
    • Must be able to obtain the SFPC certification; as mandated by the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program, within the first two years of employment, and yearly SPeD certifications, thereafter.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a Single-scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented Information (SCI)

    Specialized Experience:
    One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves the verification of requirements for security investigations, the review of an individual's clearance level, the classification/declassification of sensitive documents/information, and the storage of classified information

    or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M.

    OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%
    To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12
    Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18

    Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled
    Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series

    FOREIGN EDUCATION:
