    Medical Receptionist - Stoughton, MA & New Bedford, MA

    4 day work week floating between 2 offices

    Requirements:

    • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Strong sense of professionalism
    • A valid Driver's license and reliable transportation
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
    • Must be available to work varied hours/days and holidays
    • Ability to pass a criminal background check & pre-employment drug screen
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Attention to detail is a must
    • Prior experience with EMR is helpful, but will train the right candidate

    Medical Receptionist Job Duties:

    • Welcome patients and visitors in person or on the phone; answering or referring inquiries
    • Optimize patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone
    • Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays
    • Comfort patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area
    • Ensures availability to treatment information by electronically filing and retrieving patient records
    • Maintain patients accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
    • Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients
    • Help patients in distress by responding to emergencies
    • Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
    • Maintain operations by following policies and procedures along with reporting necessary changes
    • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as directed by management

    Some of the areas we are able to assist with include: anxiety, substance abuse, panic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, life skills, career, and relationship issues. Our practice also offers individual psychotherapy, medication management, home visits, and group therapy in addition to the Group Adult Foster Care Program services.
