    What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
    Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

    Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices.

    This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs.

    Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.


    Position Overview:


    We are seeking a talented and motivated Android App Developer with expertise in the Kotlin programming language to join our development team.

    As an Android App Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mobile application that provide our warehouse associates the ability to scan barcodes, capture images of products and send it to the exception portal.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to conceptualize, develop, and deliver high-quality Android application.
    Write efficient, clean, and modular code using Kotlin that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
    Participate in the entire app development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
    Perform thorough testing of applications, identifying and fixing bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other issues.
    Optimize application performance for a seamless user experience on various Android devices and versions.
    Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow between the app and server.
    Maintain code repositories, manage version control, and ensure proper documentation of the codebase.
    Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain code quality and consistency.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
    5-8 years of experience as an Android App Developer with a strong portfolio of Android applications developed using Kotlin.
    Solid understanding of Android application architecture, design patterns (e.g., MVVM), and best practices.
    Proficiency in Kotlin programming language and a deep understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
    Experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and other relevant development tools.
    Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    Experience consuming RESTful web services from mobile platform.
    Familiarity with third-party libraries, and integration of backend services.
    Knowledge of UI/UX principles and a passion for creating visually appealing and user-centric interfaces. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.
    Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies
