- Provide tactical legal advice and support to internal clients including PBM, pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, government programs, administrative support functions or other areas as assigned
- Perform research, drafting and transactional work in support of legal matters; may manage litigation efforts for assigned business area
- Advise internal clients regarding compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies; develop and facilitate legal training and investigate issues as needed
- Provide client training on legal principles
- Coordinate partnership with in-house and outside legal resources where appropriate
- Other duties as assigned
- Juris doctor degree
- Current license to practice law in your state of residence.
- 5 years of experience practicing as an attorney or related legal experience in a regulatory or compliance role; with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with managed care companies or other health care clients.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks with competing priorities
- Ability to establish rapport and build relationships among all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts or situations into concise and compelling communications
- Expert communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience with PBMs, pharmacies and/or health benefit insurers
