    Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Energy Storage Systems

    Salary: $100,000 - $130,000+ (DOE) annual salary + benefits + options

    Summary:

    We are the Arizona automotive leader in Battery Systems design, seeking a highly experienced and focused R&D Systems Engineer specializing in Battery Systems. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in energy storage and control system testing and validation, with expertise in HV system functional quality testing, CAN communication testing, harness EMI + inductance analysis, power electronics functional testing, and quality assurance within e-Mobility. This role also involves contributing to battery electric storage/power distribution systems, adjusting work pace to meet changing client priorities, and developing criteria for revision release.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Design, develop, and implement hardware and firmware test bench procedures for systems design validation.

    2. Understand and identify certification requirements provided by project management or engineering team, deciding on required procedures for revision release.

    3. Analyze and investigate major software revision metrics and understand HV & LV system architecture key performance indicators for the given test requirement.

    4. Define design specifications and parameters for testing criteria.

    5. Coordinate with hardware engineers to resolve hardware/software compatibility and interface considerations.

    6. Interface with other departments for specification, design, code, and test reviews.

    7. Provide documentation of software performance through testing procedures.

    8. Contribute to improving the software development process, providing evidence through test historical data.

    9. Offer timely hardware engineer support and problem resolution.

    10. Interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications, providing maintenance information for service organization.

    11. Produce timely test status reports and projections.

    12. Develop and track objectives and schedules.

    13. Participate in project planning and timeline management.

    14. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 2-4 years of experience working with controllers such as Battery Management Systems, ECU, etc.

    Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or equivalent logic/algorithm creator software.
