Job Summary:

As a Selling and Support Captain, you will champion the customer and inspire your team. As a skilled hourly colleague, you will excel in ensuring customer satisfaction, merchandising, and fostering brand loyalty. Your responsibilities include driving results through marketing initiatives and providing exceptional service. Advancement opportunities range from becoming a Personal Stylist to a Sales and Customer Experience Manager.

What you will do:

Fulfill customer orders, handle merchandising, process new products, and oversee the selling floor to deliver outstanding service
Lead colleagues in task execution
Role model exceptional customer service and provide prompt feedback
Resolve customer issues effectively and enhance their shopping experience
Promote Macy's mobile app in-store
Collaborate with People Leaders to plan store activities
Provide continuous feedback to People Leaders for a positive customer experience
Manage store opening and closing procedures
Ensure adherence to merchandise standards
Train colleagues on point of sale technology and radio frequency equipment

Who you are:

Skilled in customer communication and team direction
Adaptable to changing customer needs and priorities
Resourceful with excellent time management skills
Preferably have 1-2 years of retail experience
High school diploma or equivalent qualification

Essential Physical Requirements:

Extended periods of standing/walking
Regular use of computers and electronic devices
Physical activities such as reaching, crouching, kneeling, and lifting items
Ability to lift items up to 30 lbs.
