- Compose, transcribe, and type everyday correspondence and legal documents.
- Manage electronic filing in a variety of State and Federal courts.
- Organize and maintain records of correspondence and other documentation.
- Handle phone calls, address inquiries from clients and colleagues, and direct calls as needed.
- Coordinate appointments, depositions, meetings, hearings, and maintain the attorney's calendar; arrange travel when necessary.
- Perform general administrative tasks like opening and closing files.
- Sort, read, and direct/respond to incoming mail and emails.
- Prepare legal paperwork and fulfill other legal administrative assistant duties.
- Minimum educational attainment of a Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7 years of relevant experience as a litigation legal secretary
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and typing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with excellent organization and interpersonal abilities
- Capacity to adapt and collaborate effectively with different personnel within the legal team
- Thorough understanding of legal secretarial practices
