Job Details:

Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM
24-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 on days and 1:4-5 on nights
Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month required
Holiday rotation required for 6 main holidays (New Years, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Memorial Day, Labor Day)
Block scheduling allowed (more common on nights) and self-scheduling permitted
2-3 shift unit-specific orientation
Navy blue scrubs required
No call or standby requirements
Floating may be required as part of permanent staff rotation

Required certifications:
BLS and ACLS (NIHSS preferred)

Must have experience with pre/post cardiac procedures including stents, pacemakers, ICDs, CABG, and vascular procedures
Care for patients with cardiac catheterization procedures, cardioversions, cardiothoracic post-thoracotomy, chest tubes, trachs with home ventilators, BiPAP and CPAP
Titrate various drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, and Integrilin (Dobutamine and Dopamine are non-titratable)
Monitor techs handle telemetry monitoring and documentation
Heavy cardiac and cardiothoracic unit with high acuity surgical patients
EPIC charting system
2 cancellations allowed per 13-week assignment
Permanent address must be at least 25 miles from facility location

The facility features a sophisticated 24-bed stepdown unit equipped with state-of-the-art cardiac monitoring technology and specialized equipment for high-acuity patients.

The organization maintains dedicated monitor technicians and rapid response teams to support complex cardiac procedures and post-surgical care.
