Job Description Summary
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University is seeking to fill two nine-month, full-time, non-tenure-track faculty positions to begin August 2024.
The positions are one-year appointments that are renewable subject to annual review of performance, need for services and available funding.
The department seeks enthusiastic candidates who are committed to teaching excellence, actively engaging undergraduates, and are able to teach our undergraduate courses in mathematics and/or statistics.
Other related duties include preparing course syllabi, grading, maintaining weekly office hours, coordinating and training GTAs for recitation instructions, promoting Mathematics programs and recruiting majors, and participating in activities in conjunction with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the College of Sciences and Mathematics.

Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline by the appointment start date is required. Successful candidates are expected to be able to communicate effectively in English. Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills are required.
The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
