- Operate our organizational delivery van, ensuring timely communication with the Kitchen Manager regarding route changes or issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory of supplies both on the vehicle and at partner service sites.
- Assist with loading and unloading food, supplies, and equipment, supporting team members as needed.
- Engage with the public to educate community members and volunteers on Kids Cafe programs and FBLC's mission, fostering positive relationships.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of company vehicles in adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation for sites ensuring quality and quantity.
- Support the coordination of volunteers, fostering teamwork and maximizing impact.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness by washing dishes, assisting with inventory management, and keeping work and storage areas clean and organized to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Conduct random audits to minimize waste and promote cost-effective practices, ensuring food meets standards.
- Maintain adherence to FBLC safety, OSHA, and food safety standards, prioritizing safety for oneself and others, including when operating company equipment or vehicles.
- When representing the organization in local, state, and regional collaborations, take care to embody organizational values.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse viewpoints, including those shaped by different generations and cultures, while delivering exceptional customer service through kindness and engagement in all stakeholder interactions.

- Ability to produce quality outcomes within tight timeframes; proven capability to balance several projects and meet deadlines.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working as a delivery driver preferred.
- Successful completion of all pre-screening requirements.
- 21+ years of age and possession of a valid U.S. Driver's License with a good driving record, as confirmed through an MVR check.

As a vital link in our operation, you'll visit designated summer sites to deliver nutritious meals, bridging the gap left by school closures. You'll work alongside passionate team members, gaining insights into food insecurity in Larimer County and building relationships with local partners. Your impact will extend beyond delivery as you operate our van, ensuring food reaches those in need. FLSA Classification: Non-exempt; hourly
Pay Range: $18.00 per hour
Spanish Bilingual differential: $0.75 per hour (as eligible)
Position Type: Contract; Full-time; 40 hours per work week May 23rd, 2024, through August 13th, 2024
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri; 8:00a-4:30p with the ability to flex hours to accommodate business needs.
Location: Main Administration Wright Dr. Loveland, CO 80538 primarily, but deliver food within Larimer County.
Remote Eligibility: This position is not eligible to work from home.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct reports but may support the coordination of volunteers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primarily works outdoors, in and around vehicles, and has frequent exposure to public and private, non-FBLC warehouse environments, such as school sites.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. TRAVEL: Local travel in Larimer County using the organizational van.
