    Episcope is responsible for catering and running the restaurant at the Penn District, where a variety of events take place.

    Job Summary:

    We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Catering and Events Coordinator. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Sales Director and Manager to ensure smooth execution of catering and event administrative tasks, operational strategies, and daily assignments. Your role will involve coordinating and implementing all catering and event activities, managing third-party vendors, and overseeing our technology platforms.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Uphold Episcope's culture, values, and standards set by the company.

    2. Assist Sales Director and Manager in event planning, administrative tasks, and strategies.

    3. Collaborate with Sales Director, Manager, and Management on catering and event preparation.

    4. Coordinate third-party vendors, rental supplies, and staffing.

    5. Utilize company systems consistently (Tripleseat, Toast, Sevenrooms).

    6. Schedule site visits and conduct tours.

    7. Manage non-private bookings, happy hours, and large group inquiries.

    8. Follow up with leads for feedback and assistance.

    9. Support catering event execution, including setup, staffing, and logistics.

    10. Develop catering-specific promotional materials and strategies in collaboration with the marketing team.

    11. Prepare catering contracts, invoices, and other administrative documents accurately.

    12. Conduct market research to identify catering opportunities and industry trends.

    13. Maintain positive client relationships and respond to post-event feedback and inquiries.

    14. Serve as Banquet Captain for private events and coordinate with maître'd for event logistics.

    15. Create and update food and beverage menu cards for catering and stationed items.

    16. Record payments accurately in Toast to reflect Tripleseat transactions.

    17. Send invoices and thank-you notes promptly via Tripleseat after events.

    18. Offer proactive recommendations for ongoing operational improvements to Sales Manager and Director.

    19. Ensure catering equipment is organized, maintained, and inventoried properly.

    20. Attend weekly planning meetings to facilitate organization, operational excellence, and communication.

    Qualifications:

    1. Previous experience in catering, events, or hospitality preferred.
    2. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    4. Proficiency in using technology platforms such as Tripleseat, Toast, and Sevenrooms.

    5. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
