- Collaborate with General Manager to review and modify policies and procedures that are clinically or professionally relevant.

- Implement a program for practice building.
- Successful completion of the program from a school of optometry.
- Licensed as an Optometrist in the State of Michigan, and a minimum of one year experience.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Reports to the Director of Optometry.
Works collaboratively with the General Manager to ensure each patient receives the best possible care and to maximize office productivity and performance.
Works collaboratively with the Ophthalmology Service Chief or Medical Director to promote seamless delivery of eye care to all patients.
Coordinates professional staffing and office coverage, develops quality benchmarks, monitors outcomes, develops quality improvement activities, and oversees clinical support staff training.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement programs that will allow for cross training of all professional staff both within the clinical setting and with other intra-office positions.
b. Implement programs for professional staff designed to maintain and enhance clinical skills. This could include the implementation of intra-office seminars or the coordination of global events with other offices.c. Participate in the hiring, dismissing and disciplining of optometric technicians and contact lens technicians.
