As a Financial Service Coordinator, your responsible for providing a broad variety of financial services related to operations, consumer and business accounts, and loans. Incumbent is responsible for helping meet sales and growth objectives, making outbound member contact, and evaluating new account and loan requests and opportunities. Resolve member inquiries and challenging account issues with solution-based approaches. Performs additional branch duties and possesses the knowledge, skills, and ability to handle comprehensive accounts and loan processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and provide solutions to member issues.
  • Process financial transactions and maintain member accounts.
  • Open new accounts, evaluate account and loan requests, and assist with investment services.
  • Provide financial guidance and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Make outbound member contacts to support credit union growth objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with other duties as needed.

Work Schedule & Benefits

  • General Business Hours: Monday–Friday (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM), Saturday (8:30 AM – 3:00 PM). Closed Sundays.
  • Location-Specific Hours: Monday–Friday (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM), Saturday (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
  • Rotating Saturday schedule.
  • Closed on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
  • Open most holidays (double pay for worked holidays).
  • Full-time position with benefits.

Special Note

This is a brand new location scheduled to open this June 2026. Prior to opening you will be expected to work in a variety of our locations for training and to gain experience.

Requirements:

  1. Assume responsibility for the efficient and professional performance of financial service functions including the provision of high quality and timely services and resolutions to members.

  2. Identify sales opportunities and cross-sell products and services through actively establishing outbound contacts to help meet growth objectives.

  3. Demonstrate the ability to successfully perform all functions and responsibilities expected of a Financial Service Associate.

  4. Proficiently explain account and loan program features, benefits, and rates.

  5. Accurately prepare and open accounts of additional complexity including business and other non-consumer accounts, identify and collect required documents needed for each account type opening, and onboard the new account with a suite of products.

  6. Process accounts and loan applications in accordance with credit union policies including performing all required and regulatory verifications.

  7. Complete the entire loan process from application to closing and funding and capture additional loan opportunities from credit report reviews.

  8. Actively promote the credit union through establishing and maintaining trusted, professional business relations with members.

  9. Provide branch staff support in the supervisor's absence.

  10. Demonstrate and maintain the ability to independently locate and utilize available resources when researching and resolving complex member account issues.

  11. Refer non-standard transactions or issues to the supervisor for assistance.

  12. Respond to changes in organizational needs in a positive manner, performing other tasks as needed.

  2. Ensure all activity complies with applicable policies and regulations.

  3. Be depended upon to perform all duties as scheduled, accurately, and efficiently.

  4. Foster and maintain effective collaborative relations within the department and with other departments.

  5. Represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner to the members, other credit unions, industry affiliates, the community, and all media channels including social media.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. All essential functions are performed in an office setting. Temperatures in the climate-controlled office may fluctuate. Work area is sometimes noisy due to multiple member transactions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee may not be able to easily leave work area unless for a scheduled break.

MENTAL DEMANDS:

The mental demands for this position include: the need to be alert to member needs, to be resourceful in solving member problems, and to be precise when updating member accounts. The employee must be able to deal with people effectively under adverse and/or stressful conditions, occasionally be persuasive, use judgment, and exhibit patience.
