    Responsibilities Under the supervision of a pharmacist, prioritize and fills medication orders, automated dispensing machines, and other medication delivery devices accurately and in a timely manner.

    Practices in accordance with federal, state and local laws and in compliance with the requirements of the NJ State Board of Pharmacy and Hackensack Meridian Mountainside regulations and code of conduct.

    Accurately restocks and replenishes Pharmacy with received inventory from wholesaler as well as received returns from floor and automated dispensing machines.

    Reviews pharmacy charges and credits to ensure correct and accurate billing; takes action to correct or remedy billing discrepancies. Prepares designated sterile intravenous admixtures aseptically and in compliance with USP regulations, State Board regulations, and institutional policies.

    Ensures all expired, damaged, or compromised medication in Pharmacy, automated machines, and floor stock are removed and segregated from active inventory.

    Assists the pharmacist in maintaining the security of drug supplies. Provides appropriate documentation wherever and whenever required. Delivers medication carts to patient care areas. Maintains the pharmacy in a neat, organized and clean manner. Refers requests for drug information to a registered pharmacist. Performs tasks associated with automated equipment and maintains appropriate records as designated. Performs additional technical tasks as requested by the pharmacists on duty.

    Pharmacy Preferred Job Requirements:
    At least one (1) year of hospital experience preferred to include experience with automated dispensing machines, unit dosing, IV admixture service (including TPN compounding) PTCB certification
