Were looking to build a kitchen team that is at the heart of our expanding Kansas City office. Its here that our employees will come together on a daily basis to enjoy a variety of delightful dishes from breakfast, lunch and daily snacks to keep them energized throughout the day.
Your passion to create incredible culinary experiences through cooking will see you create menu options that excite the taste buds and delight our SafetyCulture employees. Being our Head Chef, you will lead all kitchen functions involving food purchasing, storage and inventory, preparation and overall adherence to SafetyCulture quality, methods and safety and sanitation standards. As our experience team grows, you will be the leader in training employees in methods of cooking, preparation, plate presentation, portion and cost control and cleanliness. + Lead the food and beverage aspects of our experience team
+ Create daily high quality menus
+ Prepare all paperwork, inventory, ordering, and reports
+ Support our sustainability practices by getting creative with seasonal dishes, utilizing leftover, and minimizing waste
+ Control food cost and usage by following proper and responsible requisition of products from vendors, organized product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control efforts
+ Lead the instruction and training of basic food and beverage processes and guidelines to all SafetyCulture staff
+ Build a fun and team oriented atmosphere for our growing experience team and all SafetyCulture employees
+ 2+ years experience as a Head Chef
+ Expert knowledge of commercial cookery
+ Ability to work under supervision of a limited range
+ Ability to produce good quality food
+ Understanding of health and safetyUnderstanding of food hygiene practices
+ Good communication with people leaders and coworkers alike
+ Management skills with a team player mindset
+ High level of attention to detail
+ Good level of numeracy
+ Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge
+ Adaptability to change, as well as a willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
