Born in Boise, Guru Donuts is a deliciously unique experience blending classic and seasonally rotated flavors. We take pride in using fresh, local ingredients to craft our made-from-scratch donuts. We make our unique glazes, fillings, creams and crumbs in-house - with ingredients you can pronounce. OVERVIEW

Our Donut Prep Crew is responsible for mixing, cooking, and baking all of our glazes/toppings/fillings & savory prep to Guru quality and efficiency standards The Donut Prep Crew team member will be cross-trained as a fryer & glazer to fill-in as needed and will need to be familiar with our Baking processes to maintain quality control.

WHAT GURU NEEDS

We are looking for a Donut Prep person to join our crew who is detail oriented, enjoys working on a collaborative team, is passionate about creating the highest quality products and wants opportunities to learn, grow and build their skills/career with Guru This position requires a highly skilled individual who can make all of our glazes/toppings/fillings from scratch.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to follow recipes, weigh ingredients and multi-task
• Execute a detailed prep that is created in collaboration with the management team
• Preparing glazes/baking toppings/fillings & savory prep items (i.e. pastry cream, caramel, caramelized onions, aioli, etc.)
• Work with team members to maintain quality control of finished products to Guru standards and keep workflow on pace during production
• Maintain equipment (oil, grease, etc.) according to directions, established maintenance schedules and tracking in appropriate logs
• Maintain kitchen sanitation standards, leading others by example to perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks.
• Desire to learn more about baking and contribute to a collaborative team

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Willingness to cross-train on multiple positions
• Prior baking, pastry or kitchen experience
• Must work quickly & have precise attention to detail
• Excellent communication is a must to support the team
• Willingness to receive and follow directions while contributing to our positive and collaborative work environment.
• Perform general physical activities with speed and efficiency that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials and objects.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Part-time position available
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more and be on your feet most of the work day.
• Probably a lot of other things that we didn't put in here - things always come up that will be new to you and probably to us.
