    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a General Surgery unit assignment requiring a compact or NC RN license and recent specialty experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in a hospital setting on the 8K General Surgery unit
    • Primarily overnight shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
    • Thirteen-week contract assignment
    • No local candidates will be accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
    • Duties include caring for post-surgical general surgery patients
    • Required certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment

    Requirements

    • Active NC or compact RN license required
    • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in general surgery or related acute care specialty
    • Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
    • At least 2 years of clinical experience in the area of placement preferred
    • No work history gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
    • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
    • Professional references required (one reference unless otherwise specified for Florida or Missouri)
