    Beaver Aerospace & Defense, Inc. is a subsidiary of Héroux-Devtek headquartered in Livonia, Michigan. We design and manufacture ball screws and actuators for the commercial and defense aerospace industries.     Summary of position:


    The Senior Program Manager develops the strategic and tactical sales plan for Beaver Aerospace and Defense products and monitors sales activity to ensure sales targets are achieved.

    Additionally, this role is responsible for the management and implementation of strategic programs, monitoring critical program performance, and evaluating program managers for efficiency and accomplishments.

    This role will take the lead in customer negotiations, sales contracts, with strong understanding of T&C's creating a win-win for Beaver and the customer.

    Main responsibilities:
    Primary Responsibilities


    • Develop sales strategy for long term domestic and international growth
    • Strong understanding of company products and services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive
    • Collaborate with sales and design team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals
    • Manage complex or broad variety/scope of programs/projects for completeness, compatibility, compliance with engineering principles and design needs and standard
    • Build and lead a Program Management function/capability, including implementation of a system or tool to facilitate management of multiple projects of varied sizes
    • Partner with leadership to guide prioritization of projects and utilization of resources, while regularly delivering progress reports
    • Delivers highly effective Program Management, which is responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling the activities of complex business projects spanning multiple organizations
    • Negotiate contracts
    • Ability to provide first level technical response
    • Work with new and existing customers on opportunities outside our current core competency
    • Review industry periodicals for new trends and program opportunities
    • Support Beaver Leadership Team through special projects, initiatives, problem solving, team participation, coaching and mentoring.
    • Responsible for managing customer relationships
    • Lead all proposal resources

    Qualifications:
    Minimum Requirements


    • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or Engineering
    • PMP or PMI certification preferred
    • Ability to build consensus and drive decision-making
    • Ability to write business proposals and have strong understanding of financial implications
    • Ability to assess and manage risks through customer contracts and program management
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely
    • Technical skills required to create proposals and find solutions to meet client requirements, such as using software programs and machines.
    • Leadership Training and experience
    • MS Office, Internet Skills, understanding and utilization of MRP/ERP systems.
    • 5 – 10 years' experience in global Business Development position within a similar organization or industry
    • Aerospace and Defense contracting experience strongly preferred
