    Description
    Position Summary

    The main objective of Lubrication Technician is to perform all lubrication activities to prevent failures and optimize lubrication cost.

    Essential Functions
    • Lube mobile equipment as per lube route/protocol
    • Inspect mobile equipment during lubrication
    • Maintain lube storage and handling room
    • Properly dispose of used oil, prevent and clean spills and leaks
    • Perform repair and any other work as required or directed
    Competencies
    • Experience in Driving a Heavy Truck (Class 6 & Up)
    • CDL a Plus

    Work Environment

    This job operates 100% of the time in an underground or surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work.

    Required Education and Experience
    • High School degree
    • Work requires the ability to operate radio, CB radio, computer and other equipment.
    • Work requires the ability to use hand tools such as grease gun, shovels, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
    • Work requires the ability to be a self-starter and to work with little supervision
    • Must be able to read and interpret gauges/dials and make competent decisions related to processing equipment
    • Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language
