Millcreek Community Hospital, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is currently hiring and Full Time Dietary/Cold Food Production Worker (with weekend availability) to join our team
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Receives written and oral instructions concerning type and quantity
of foods to be prepared and size of portions.
2. Washes and cleans fruits and vegetables and peels, dices, shreds or slices
them using kitchen hand utensils.
3. Arranges salad ingredients in an attractive and appetizing manner and places
prepared salads in refrigerator until meal times.
4. Garnishes salads and mixes sauces and dressing to add to salads.
5. Prepares individual dishes of fruit, desserts, sandwiches, beverages, etc.;
labels as needed for each meal.
6. Maintains work area in a neat, clean and orderly manner.
7. Prepares special diet foods and works on the patient tray assembly line as
needed.
8. Performs cashier duties as needed on cafeteria line.
9. Prepares, sets-up and serves food for scheduled meeting and special functions.
10. Understands and follows sanitary practices regarding food preparation,
handling and storage for infection control purposes.
11. Must maintain a current record of attendance to the required inservices as
determined by the institution on an annual basis.
